WU ZHAOJI
Master Wu Zhaoji, also known as Xiangquan, was born in the winter of 1908 in Hunan, China. In 1912, his family relocated to Suzhou.
Master Wu was born in a musical family. His father played the guqin and his mother played the xiao. From 13 years old onwards, Wu began to learn guqin with his father. His father, Wu Nanshun, is a co-founder of the Jinyu Qin Society. In 1921, Wu went to Shanghai with his father to participate in the Chenfengnlu Qin Gathering. He encountered Wu Jinyang, and became his student of the guqin.
From a young age,Wu enjoyed sports and martial arts. At 20 years of age, he learned the Yang Style Taichi with Chen Weiming.
