Yuan Jung-Ping also goes by the name Zhong Dao Ren. Past generations in his family have been doctors of Chinese medicine. From a young age, he studied Chinese medicine and Confucianism with his father. But when he is older he became a student of Taipei Master Sun Yuqin to study the philosophies of Buddhism, Zen and the classical Chinese instrument Guqin. Later he became a student of Suzhou Master Wu Zhaoji studying Qigong, Taichi and Guqin. At the same time he became a disciple of calligraphy with Calligraphy Master and connoissier Leon Chang in New York. Presently, he founded and serves as the President of the New York Qin Society and performs widely in solo and ensemble guqin performances in varous concerts in New York and China, including those at Asia Society and China Institute, and also lectured at Swarthmore College and Columbia University. After these twenty years of study and research, he blended harmoniously all he has learned and developed the Zizen formula of healthy living.
