On Becoming a Zizen Disciple
Zizen’s contents have been passed on by great Chinese masters from one generation to another. It is the greatest treasure in the art of living a healthy life. With Master Yuan’s integration of the many sects that practiced such arts, this tradition is further enhanced. If one wishes to inherit this tradition, he or she must become knowledgeable in all four subjects. After the completion of all four subjects and with the permission of the teacher, the student may become a disciple. Further study in the four subjects is required for at least three more years. Afterwards, the qualified student may become a teacher and propagate Zizen. However, it is highly important that the student do not have such a pursuit while in training, simply to prevent the possibility of hurting or misguiding any new students.
